Mission 227: Thailand

Another breadcrumb dropped right in front of me this morning as I continue Mission 227. I knew it was time for another installment but I had no idea where to go today. I thought about it over the weekend but no specific mission or country came to mind. As I sat here sorting through my Mission 227 notes, I was at a standstill. I had a few leads but after further research, they were dead ends.

Then I remembered that my friend David gave me an envelope yesterday as I was leaving church. It was a support letter for a mission trip that he and his wife, Katie, will lead to Thailand in late July.

Duh!

The Czapala’s (say it without the C) will be leading a team on a vision trip to the nation of Thailand for the purpose of networking with existing ministries in the areas of missionary training and church planting. It is designed for those who are contemplating the mission field on a full-time basis. They are going there through their connection with Global Frontier Missions (GFM).

Thailand has a population of just under 70 million people. Most of them are Buddhists (85%) and about 8% of the population is Muslim. Just over 1% of Thailand is Christian. Of the 114 people groups there, 81 are considered unreached (71%).

David, Katie, and GFM would like to see those numbers change. Will you join me in supporting this mission? If you would like more details, email Katie at kczapala@gmail.com. Please pray for this team as they do their part in being World Changers!
