A Dreamer with a New Perspective: Bryan Narcisse

Bryan Narcisse is learning how dreams, passion, hard work, and prayer work together. Earlier this week, Bryan received official word that he is one of the newest additions to the Harlem Globetrotters!

Bryan attends my church when he’s back in his hometown. He graduated high school with my daughter. He earned a basketball scholarship at Clemson University where he played for the Tigers for four years. He was also a semi-finalist in the 2012 Collegiate Slam Dunk Contest.

This kid is good. I don’t just mean on the basketball court. I mean in the game of life.

He’s got a firm spiritual foundation. He recognizes the gifts, talents, and abilities that he’s been given. He’s passionate about the Lord and basketball. He’s a hard worker and he has combined all of those things into dreams such as playing for the most famous and most influential basketball team in the world.

Bryan is on a quest with the right perspective.

Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s a mantra that I was taught by my dad. I’ve told my kids the same thing. Looks like someone told Bryan too.

I believe it’s true. Dream big dreams. Follow your passions. Use your gifts. Be faithful in the little things and God will place you in just the right place at just the right time.

Congratulations Bryan! When the Globetrotters come to town, we’ll be there cheering for you!

I followed Bryan during his high school basketball days and at Clemson. When I heard about him going to the Globetrotters, I thought wow that’s the perfect job for him. I’m so happy for him, he’s a great guy.
